PED 156 Scuba Diving

This course provides basic instruction in fundamental skills and safety procedures for scuba diving. Emphasis is placed on the history, theory,xand principles of diving; development of diving skills; safety; and care and maintenance of equipment. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate skills, knowledge, and techniques of scuba diving in preparation for diver certification. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement and the Independent Comprehensive Articulation Agreement for transferability as a pre-major and/or elective course requirement.
