ANT 240 Archaeology

This course introduces the scientific study of the unwritten record of the human past. Emphasis is placed on the process of human cultural evolution as revealed through archaeological methods of excavation and interpretation. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of how archaeologists reconstruct the past and describe the variety of past human cultures. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement and the Independent Comprehensive Articulation Agreement general education core requirement in social/behavioral sciences.
