HIS 262 Middle East History

This course surveys the history of the Middle East from the development of civilization in Mesopotamia to the present. Emphasis is placed on social, political, economic, religious, and governmental structures in the Middle East. Upon completion, students should be able to analyze significant political, socioeconomic, and cultural developments in the Middle East. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement and the Independent Comprehensive Articulation Agreement for transferability as a pre-major and/or elective course requirement.
