NEXT NC Scholarship

The NEXT NC Scholarship is new for 24-25 and consolidates need-based state grant funds and replaces the North Carolina Community College Grant, North Carolina Education Lottery Scholarship, and UNC Need-Based Grant. The NEXT NC Scholarship requires a minimum enrollment of 6 SHCs. To be considered for the NEXT NC Scholarship, students must be a NC resident for tuition purposes, meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), have a households adjusted gross income (AGI) of less than $80,000 and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
