Library

Located on the upper level of Phifer Hall, the Library is a place for students to study, collaborate, an complete assignments. Study rooms are provided for individuals and groups. The Library of Congress Classification System is used to arrange books, and an online catalog provides information for accessing materials in the collection. An information commons consisting of computer stations is available, and laptops are available for in-library use. The College provides wireless network access campuswide.

Library resources include about printed books, electronic E-Books, printed periodical titles, and DVDs. Students and employeesmay request interlibrary loans for publications not owned by the Library. In addition, the Library subscribes to electronic databases that offer abstracts or the full text of articles from professional, trade, and popular journals as well as streaming videos and audio book. Students may access these resources remotely with their college username and password.

Library tours are available upon request. Staff offer a library instruction program, which includes customized presentations, resource guides for class assignments, and guidance sheets on locating and using library resources.

The Library’s normal operating hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00am - 8:00pm and Friday, 8:00am - 12:00pm. Summer hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00am - 7:00 pm and Friday, 8:00 am - 12:00pm.
