HIS 235 The Spanish Borderlands

This course surveys the development of the Spanish Borderlands of the American South and Southwest. Topics include Native American cultures, European contact, and subsequent conflicts. Upon completion, students should be able to analyze significant political, socioeconomic, and cultural developments in the Spanish Borderlands. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement and the Independent Comprehensive Articulation Agreement for transferability as a pre-major and/or elective course requirement.
