Vocational Rehabilitation

The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) helps people with disabilities achieve their goals for employment and independence.

Inquiries regarding services may be directed to the Coordinator of Disability Services at Western Piedmont Community College.

In an effort to become employable, students may be eligible for financial assistance through Vocational Rehabilitation under the provision of Public Law 565. The extent of the assistance is determined by Vocational Rehabilitation staff. Each rehabilitation program is designed individually with the student/client.

Monetary assistance for attending school is based on need, client potential and the type of program in which students are enrolled. Upon acceptance as Vocational Rehabilitation clients, students may be offered support to defray costs for the following: tuition, fees, some books and supplies, interpreter services and sometimes transportation.
